Play by GameWorks Venue-based, Peer-to-Peer Wagering Concept Developed to Cater to Growing esports Demand

SAN FRANCISCO … January 19, 2019 … GameWorks, Inc., a full entertainment and dining experience for millennials, teens and families with seven locations nationwide, announced today the Company has entered into a partnership agreement with SCCG Management, a full-service management consultancy focused on the casino industry, to bring venue-based, peer-to-peer wagering esports Lounges to casinos nationwide. Under the agreement, the companies will offer casino operators an opportunity to seamlessly introduce esports to their guests, allowing them to compete in esports games of skill while also enjoying an upscale culinary experience.

The new venue-based concept, Play by GameWorks, is a distinctive opportunity that allows players to add skill-based, peer-to peer-wagering and custom betting capabilities to a variety of popular PC and console games. Each 10-12,000 square-foot Play by GameWorks esports Lounge will boast 20-40 PCs and consoles and an extensive library of approximately 100 of the most popular video games, and the ability to run significantly larger tournament events. Every Play by GameWorks will also host a 100-seat restaurant, The Works Kitchen at GameWorks, GameWorks’ recently unveiled chef-driven, Modern American restaurant, showcasing upscale, eclectic food and drink specialties that take a contemporary approach to traditional favorites.

Play by GameWorks will feature an engaging atmosphere that appeals to both women and men, ages 21 and over, including social as well as pack-oriented gamers, local-area gaming enthusiasts and destination guests. Lounges also will offer a range of event-based programming to further join together the gaming communities in each of the markets Play by GameWorks will serve.

Leveraging the popularity and long-standing reputation of the GameWorks brand with the casino industry expertise of SCCG Management, which specializes in strategic business development within international land-based casino, internet gambling, gaming, esports and entertainment markets, Play by GameWorks is expected to initially launch its flagship location in Las Vegas.

Play by GameWorks esports Lounges will typically accommodate up to 100 guests, with its multiple personal play stations and several large couches, providing ample, comfortable seating for gamers and spectators alike. To further enhance game play, guests can order food and drinks from The Works Kitchen at GameWorks’ diversemenudirectly to their seats.

Company to Disperse Glow Stick Donation Across the Seven Markets it Serves Nationwide 

            SAN FRANCISCO … October 24, 2018 … GameWorks, Inc., a full entertainment and dining experience for millennials, teens and families with seven locations nationwide, announced today that it is donating approximately 20,000 glow sticks to help keep children safe and visible this Halloween.

The glow sticks are being distributed to local law enforcement agencies, schools, events and community centers and programs in preparation for Halloween throughout the seven markets GameWorks serves nationwide.

In addition, for those that choose to spend Halloween at a GameWorks venue, double tickets will be offered all day, meaning guests have the opportunity to earn redemption prizes much faster. Additionally, kids can eat free from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

“Community service is an important corporatewide initiative at GameWorks, and this glow stick giveaway is another example of how important our local guests are to us and how we strive to positively impact the communities in which we operate. Eclectic Take on Traditional Bar Fare to Transform Entertainment Concept’s Food Focus and Guests’ Food Experience

            SAN FRANCISCO … October 9, 2018 … GameWorks, Inc., a full entertainment and dining experience for millennials, teens and families with seven locations nationwide, announced today the unveiling of its eclectic, chef-driven restaurant concept, The Works Kitchen at GameWorksacross all its seven locations.

The Works Kitchen at GameWorks was imagined and created by Chef Tony Leitera who brings a 20-year culinary career to his new role as corporate executive chef. Prior to joining GameWorks in January 2018, Leitera collaborated with Guy Fieri on operating and expanding his branded locations.

            At The Works Kitchen at GameWorks, guests can enjoy selections from a varied menu that takes a Modern American spin on bar classics while also featuring hearty specialties and healthy options. The upscale food offering incorporates a contemporary approach to traditional favorites across a large variety of appetizers, handhelds (specialty burgers and sandwiches), salads and desserts.

Menu creations span, among many others, The Works’ very own “Twists,” an array of Bavarian pretzels; hand-stretched artisanal pizzas; savory snacks, such as buffalo-fried cauliflower; spiced and seared yellow fin tuna sashimi; and, dry-rubbed wings. Handheld specialties include the signature Works burger, a grilled cheese-stuffed 1.5-pound double burger, complemented with Sam Adams BBQ sauce and the notable plant-based Impossible™Burger, a popular gourmet vegetarian option.

To top off the meal, there are several extraordinary, mouth-watering milkshakes, such as the Frozen Brunch, a vanilla milkshake which boasts bacon, a Belgian waffle and maple syrup; the Movie Theater, a chocolate milkshake complete with red-rope licorice, caramel popcorn, chocolate candy and whipped cream; or, the Unicorn, a rainbow sherbet milkshake with rock candy and cotton candy, topped with a sugar cone.

He also was a member of the corporate training and chef team at The Capital Grille Las Vegas before transitioning into the role of executive chef partner at The Capital Grille Indianapolis. Chef Leitera worked with the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil stadium before being recruited back to his home town of Las Vegas to open Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen + Bar at the LINQ Hotel and Casino. Between 2014-2018, Leitera collaborated with Guy Fieri and his Knuckle Sandwich Culinary team to open other Guy Fieri-branded locations.
