GameWorks' Local Response
March 12th, 2020GameWorks remains open as a destination for guests seeking to enjoy esports, entertainment, food and fun.
We recognize it’s a stressful time, and GameWorks takes the current COVID-19 situation seriously. Our team is employing extra health and safety measures, including diligent cleaning, restricting guest counts according to local authorities, and adhering to social distancing recommendations. All employees are required to regularly wash their hands, and have been trained on recommended hygiene standards. The safety of our guests is always our top priority.
We will offer the same fun escape our guests rely on, including our full complement of entertainment and food options. Our game cards, menu, and special promotions will all still be available.
We strongly recommend any guests not feeling well do stay home and/or seek medical attention. We request guests adhere to local health guidelines on social distancing and remain patient as we implement headcount requirements throughout our venues.
GameWorks thanks all guests for their patience and understanding during this time. Our primary focus is on the health and safety of our guests and team.
GameWorks' Commitment To Our Guests
March 9th, 2020
At GameWorks, the safety and health of our guests and team are always paramount, and has been our priority since the company’s founding more than 20 years ago. Our commitment to excellence includes ensuring we provide a safe, clean and friendly environment and an exciting guest experience every time. Currently, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation across all our venues, which includes staying up-to-date on notifications from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and local health authorities. We are communicating closely with our internal teams to stay on top of this evolving situation.
We wanted to update our guests on the measures we have taken to help ensure health and safety when visiting our venues.
To help reduce the possibility of exposure, we are employing the highest levels of cleaning and sanitizing across all our venues while also taking other precautionary measures. All the practices we have implemented company wide are in accordance with guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We continue to reinforce our already-rigorous cleaning and sanitation procedures, and are providing alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations at all locations for public and team member use. Additionally, we have educated our team members on best practices to reduce exposure to illness, including:
- Consistent cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth, as well as hand-shakes and high-fives
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Following best practices for cleaning and for food handling
- Requiring sick team members to stay home
GameWorks is committed to partnering with our team members, suppliers, health officials and communities to minimize potential risks and to maintain regular business operations. We have plans in place to proactively address any issues.
As concerns surrounding COVID-19 continue, we are closely monitoring the situation across all GameWorks locations and throughout our workforce. We are taking necessary precautionary measures and remain diligent in our efforts to ensure that all GameWorks venues are clean and safe for our guests.
Thank you for your trust in GameWorks. We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our guests and our team members during these uncertain times, and look forward to continuing to serve you.
